About the Business
All our furniture has been designed by ANGUS ROSS who has been recognised as one of the most exciting furniture designers working in Britain since early 1990s. He has a deep understanding of the design process and a creative flair for creating pure and beautiful work that is a joy to use.
When designing, a research phase is essential - what and why is a piece being commissioned, who is the piece is for, how, where and when it will be used. This design research occurs whether Angus is designing for a private collector, a collection of work for a public space or developing a product to batch-produce. Inspired by this research, Angus works thoughtfully through the design process: initially with pen and sketch book, then working in three dimensions with models and where appropriate full size prototypes. After further consideration, client consultation and design development, detailed drawings are generated and from these, manufacturing "rods" are drawn up prior to cutting wood.
