About the Business

We are a small online family business, based in Nottinghamshire, who combine our experience in sales, design and marketing to persue our passion for furniture. Our affinity with furniture dates back to Chris’ father who was a very capable carpenter, making and restoring furniture right in to his 70s.

The idea of selling items on the Internet was first trialed by Jonathan who paid his way through University by first selling vintage die cast toys. Whilst he was at University we decided to sell the contents of our Garage at home which proved to be both successful and enjoyable. This was the start of our family business where we combined all of our talents and established Lots 2 Like in to a retailer of Antique and Reproduction furniture.

The stock we have available at all times is sourced from all over the country as well as being imported from Europe. Generally, the choice is for one off, unique pieces that give our clients the satisfaction of owning a desirable piece of Antique or Reproduction furniture. This would be very hard to find without our experience and depth of knowledge in the Antique trade. We are aware that quality combined with price is vitally important and therefore our range reflects excellent value for money.

Delivery is undertaken by ourselves when possible, to reflect our commitment to customer service and satisfaction. Our mantra is to offer a reliable, professional and secure delivery service to all of our customer at all times. This is greatly reflected in our list of testimonials. Between the three of us we source, purchase, transport, restore, market and deliver all our furniture, remaining in control of quality and performance at all times.

A Pair of French Art Deco Oak

Well figured top with moulded serpentine front and sides. Over three serpentine graduated drawers with central brass turned draw pull. Flanked by exterior turned columns to each corner. The chests are raised upon a shaped plinth with turned bun feet under.

The rear supports are plain and angled. All united by a shaped serpentine apron. Overall condition is excellent with very minor signs of wear.

Dimensions are 52cm wide 27cm deep and 50cm tall.

Antique Style French Louis Rosewood Ormolu

The front of the cabinet is Bowfronted with the sides being inswept and the whole piece finished throughout in stunning Rosewood. To the top is a thick moulded and curved cornice. Below are two large Ormolu mounted gilt plaques to each side of the top with one also mounted in the centre. The tops and sides feature inlaid panels throughout, with Walnut to the centre bordered by Satinwood.

Beneath are three glass panels which are all shaped and curved. The cabinet is also lockable with a key provided. To the base of the cabinet are three hand painted Vernis Martin style panels depicting a house by the water with foliage to the fore and backgrounds to each face. Interanally are two glass shelves which can be removed, with cupboard space below.

The fitted interior of the cabinet is a soft cream / gold Cotton weave, with foliage pattern. The whole cabinet is raised upon Cabriole legs with the ones to the front featuring Ormolu mounted knees and toes. Overall condition is Excellent with minimal signs of age related wear and use.
