About the Business
Our story started over 30 years ago selling antiques from a garage, from humble beginnings Lindsays Allsorts moved into house clearances and from there business progressed. From our humble garage sales we opened a shop in Crossland Moor, Huddersfield and as we began to grow a second shop close to the Huddersfield open market in Byram Street was also opened. From our two stores we acquired the use of the top floor of a mill building on Britannia Road in Milnsbridge, and from there we moved away from selling antiques and house clearances and began buying end of line furniture and catalogue returns to supply our shops.
Before long customers were bypassing the shops and coming direct to the mill and as such both stores were closed. Lindsays Furniture Warehouse was born on the idea of moving closer back to our roots by offering customers products that represented great value and the ability of being able to take away products from the store.
