About the Business
Robin Clarke makes his Windsor chairs in a small workshop in Herefordshire. He has been building chairs for over 30 years giving him great experience in working the local timber to the advanced Windsor designs he now makes. The chairs have evolved over time to be simple, comfortable, and beautiful with strength so they will last for generations.
The handmade chairs are created from carefully selected ash that is grown locally in sustainable forests. The striking grain of the wood is enhanced by a fine bees wax finish. Every piece of wood is hand crafted bringing out its features and giving each chair a unique look and feel.
Self taught and originally based in a small workshop in Ireland he now exhibits at RHS shows at Malvern and Tatton Park. Robin Clarke is a longstanding member of The Guild of Herefordshire Craftsman.
